2. Approximately 3 - 5 Activities per week
Realistically shoot for 3-5 activities per weekly theme. If you don’t have enough energy don’t worry about it, as long as you have a couple.
Copy and paste several times in Word or any other similar program and fill out accordingly. Each week should be filled with crafts, games, learning activities that help incorporate preschool concepts.
3. Preparation
After brainstorming activities, narrow it down to 3-5, that focus on that week’s theme. Choose the ones that will be fun and easiest to do.
Everyone is more likely to actually do the activity when things are planned ahead and ready to go. Choose a day of the week that is not filled with a bazzillion things going on and bust it out, store each week in a large zip lock bag if you can. It’s obvious that there are some themes that you can’t prep for, and it’s understandable, what you can do is write down some notes on what you’d like to do during that week.
4. When?
Choose a time it’s convenient for everyone. You don’t even need to restrict all of your activities to stretch through the week, you can get as much or as little done in the span of the week or even a day.
So that is the plan. I personally plan on doing this even before my child reaches pre school, just so it does get them thinking and learning well before going into pre school.
