Day Two

So today is day two of the challenge:

2. A picture of you and the person you have been closest with the longest.

The answer was quite simple. My husband. :)

I sketched while I was out, down at the bowling alley watching the clients practice bowling. I had to deliver invitations for Special Olympics Re-Gift Windup coming in May. So I sketched there and came home to splash a bit of color on it in photoshop. This took roughly 20 ish minutes to color.

I'm thinking of making some gingersnap cookies later. On Friday some of my hubbies students asked if he could come watch them figure skate, it reminded me of when I used to skate. Anyway they were raising money and selling cookie dough, so for $10 we got a bucket of cookie dough, gingersnap to be precise.

I remember as a kid trying to make gingersnap cookies, this was before I learned to never double the salt, and that it was better to use ground ginger instead of fresh. Let's just say it was an interesting cookie, that went straight into the trash after the first bite. The cookies we got, the one in the bucket is quite good, has the right amount of spice and everything nice.

So I had to spend another $120 to reserve two seats on an 8 seat plane that will take us from Puerto Rico to the island we'll be staying at. I can't think of the name off the top of my head and I'm too lazy to look it up. It starts with a K though. How sad is that. :P I am really looking forward to this trip, it'll be good for Michael to get away from the stresses from school and everything that comes attached to it.
